ENERGICA WANTS TO RIDE THE ITALIAN STOCK MARKET

Energica Motor Company is proud to announce that is working for the listing to raise capital on AIM Italia - Mercato Alternativo del Capitale managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A.
 
UBS and Ambromobiliare will act as lead-advisor and co-advisor respectively. Banca Finnat will act as nomad and global coordinator. NCTM will act as legal advisor and PWC as auditor.
Energica Motor Company purpose is to speed up the industrial process and the marketing efforts of the company.
 
The company chose Giancarlo Minardi as Independent Member of the Board, demonstrating the deep roots Energica and its parent company CRP Group has in the Formula One world. Giancarlo is founder and former Managing Director of the Minardi Formula One team, today renamed to "Toro Rosso" by the Red Bull energy drink concern in 2006. He has identified and given breaks to many drivers who subsequently went on to achieve successes with other teams and in other formulas. Drivers such as Giancarlo Fisichella, Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Jarno Trulli all had their Formula One debut with Minardi.
 
In recent years the EV market appears particularly dynamic. A large number of car manufacturers is gradually introducing electric models on the market, following Tesla example. Tesla is a real pioneer in this market, now it has become an extraordinary business success story. Energica Motor Company is following Tesla business model in electric motorcycles market.

Energica Motor Company srl was officially founded in 2014 with the aim of creating the first high-powered electric motorcycles, but the electric motorcycle project started in 2010. CRP Group acted therefore as a technology incubator and a financial investor until EMC decided to spin off and become an independent factory. 
 
EMC in the last six years has been able to design and develop internally a high performance electric motorcycle, thanks to CRP Group know-how. Today, after test and homologations, Energica motorcycles are on sales worldwide. EMC is working on establish itself as a brand leader in the production of high level electric motorcycles, each Energica motorcycles is the ultimate expression of Italian luxury. 
 
Energica models: 
  • ENERGICA EGO is the first model of EMC, it is the first Italian high-performing electric sportbike.
ENERGICA EGO 45 is a premium version (limited production) of the Italian electric sportbike designed for the 45th anniversary of the founding partner, the CRP Group. During 2016 it is expected the commercial launch of a new streetfighter model, ENERGICA EVA. 
  • The first model, Energica Ego, is already on sales through the authorized importers around United States and Europe (http://www.energicasuperbike.com/find-a-dealer/)
- the first batch of Ego production has already been delivered worldwide. 
 
Technology is one of the key point of Energica motorcycles.
The 100% Italian-manufactured electric sportbike project born thanks to CRP Group, a pioneer in the world of international motorsports and a hub of excellence for its state-of- the-art technologies.
Over 45 years of innovation have made CRP Group one of the leading international players for cutting edge CNC Machining, Additive Manufacturing with Windform® advanced laser sintering materials. CRP Group has invested in the new field of sustainable vehicles by creating Energica. CRP has put strategic know-how and technical direction into further developing electric technology and creating a line of premium electric motorcycles for the everyday rider. 
 
Electric Motorcycle can be divided into three different segments: 
  • Electric Scooter: electric powered scooter characterized by limited power, used exclusively in Urban context

  • Low-powered Electric Motorcycle: small electric motorcycle with less than 30 kW power (40HP), commonly used for urban transport or short suburban tours 
  • High powered Electric Motorcycle: electric powered motorcycle featuring more than 30 kW power (40 HP), similar in esthetics and utilization to traditional internal combustion engine motorcycles, purpose of use is not limited to transportation but also to have fun 
 
Electric vehicles are gaining back market interest after a century dominated by internal combustion engine vehicles. 
Charging infrastructure is rapidly growing showing a step change for some key countries in the last year. Germany and France are leading the charging points growth in Europe. 
 
A recent report from Navigant Research, “Electric Motorcycles and Scooters – Market Drivers and Barriers, Technology Issues, Key Industry Players, and Global Demand Forecasts”, of 2015, says that 7,731 sales expected worldwide this year for high-powered emotorcycles (with peak motor performance of more than 30 kW).
 However, due to the recent (Polaris Industries) and anticipated (Yamaha, Harley- Davidson) market entries of large industry players, Navigant Research anticipates a 34.1% CAGR in the high-powered e-motorcycle market between 2015 and 2024, compared to a 1.9% CAGR in the low-powered e-motorcycle market during the same period.  Sales of electric motorcycles are expected to reach 1,2 milion units by 2015 and 1,5 milion units by 2024.2
