PALAZZO FAVA - EXHIBITION CENTRE
Bologna City | Attractions | Museums
Frescoed on the first floor by Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico Carracci in their early days, Palazzo Fava was described by Roberto Longhi as “a historical romanza, based on the great paintings of previous eras” without being marooned in mannerism and being able to “communicate directly through the opening not of a book but of a window”.
Covering more than 2600 square metres, Palazzo Fava is regularly used as an exhibition centre.
Its rooms house collections from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna, as well as exhibitions of works from other important public and private collections.
Palazzo Fava in Via Manzoni, 2
is open to the public:
from Tuesday to Sunday
from 10 am to 7 pm
