"RIVOLUZIONE__Stanze is the result of a week of artistic residency, creation and interaction with the rooms of Palazzo Vizzani. This historical palace in the heart of Bologna is going to host Lucia Palladino’s installation from Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
This unique piece of art is the resulting interaction of different materials, from performative to visual, audio and text, and also a collaboration of Lucia Palladino with other artists, such as Attila Favarelli, Piero Ramella and Alice Ruggero.
This artistic residency is perceived by the artists as an opportunity to reformulate and expand the materials of the previous show REVOLUTION starting from the relationship with some rooms of the building. The performance thus becomes a core, from which the different materials that compose it spread out in space and time.
RIVOLUZIONE__ Stanze is a choreographic work about attention, listening and memory. It tries to create a space and a time in which the audience can perceive the distance between things, between people. The distance it is created by the artists through the theatrical action allows them to stand in front of a landscape and contemplate it, as we would do in front of a natural landscape, or looking at the flight of migratory birds. conceived as other than me) it is the place where the communication takes place. This space of attention is revolutionary for both the audience and the artists. The other is refractory to the definition, escapes and multiplies by constantly changing the point of observation. A multitude of spectra, material and impalpable at the same time, inhabit this multidimensional landscape.
To be revolutionary means for Lucia Palladino and the other artists to remove more than to add, to expand the time, to carry out the matter, to listen.
The performance will be presented during 3 hours in which the audience will meet the performative material - visual, sound and textual - in a single view through the different rooms (in a 45-minute loop).
