We cook the Priest! - Polesine Parmense - November Porc

“We cook priests and bishops”: this is the tagline for one of the most attended events in Emilia.
 
The second event of the festival "November Porc", will star in Polesine Parmense from Nov 13 to 15 in a very special location: the bank of the river Po.
 
The event will start on Friday evening with the second gastronomic event dedicated to beer (Menabrea), Fortana del Taro e Maiale, in the cozy PalaPo, where you can taste dishes accompanied by the vocal performance of talented bands.
 
The "living" in Polesine will then continue on Sat Nov 14 from 10 am, with the official opening of the market for local products and the opening at 11 am. again, from 12 am, there will be the option of dining in large marquee.

The afternoon you can attend "the priest as you do?" Practical demonstration of processing and production of salami star of the stage, which in the meantime will begin to boil in large-scale format in the tub specifically placed on the bank of the Great River, also it will be held a demonstration practice of processing of Culatello.
 
From the early hours of the evening will begin the FESTA GIOVANE, with typical dishes of the “Bassa” and sandwiches and beer of the Mc Porc that accompany the direct live radio and singing live performances.
 
At 9 am on Sunday, 15 November to reopen the food market on the bank of the Po, where you can buy all the typical products of the Po district and also many other delicacies from the various areas of the country.
In the late morning will open the food stand where will be served dishes of the area, prepared by picturesque ladies of the land, as well as other specialties such as hare, pig's trotters with polenta and large boiled.
 
at 3:30pm you take your giant enormous pot priest made for the occasion along the Po. The burly men, heirs of the old Barbùter (boatmen), following a precise ritual, raise the heavy sausage and once assessed the success of the cooking, will be distributed free to all present.
 
Throughout the day we will be guaranteed entertainment both for young than old people, with street performers and musicians. In the center of the country as early as the morning you can visit the market stalls of hobbyists, street vendors and artisans of quality.
